Gemma takes a holistic and individualized approach to care, drawing from acupuncture, estim, fire cupping, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and her background in botany to support the body’s natural capacity for healing. Her areas of specialty include autoimmune conditions, menstrual cycle regulation and fertility support, Long COVID symptom sequelae, orthopedic complaints and pain reduction, stress and nervous system regulation, and neuropathic pain disorders. She is particularly interested in helping patients navigate complex and chronic health concerns through personalized care that considers the whole person.

Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that herbal medicine is a living tradition grounded in humanity’s relationship with the natural world. An ancient partnership that has nourished, guided, and healed people for generations. As a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Gemma sees her work as a bridge between this ancient herbal wisdom and the realities of modern life. She believes these time-honored medicines remain profoundly relevant, offering approaches to healing that are ancient in origin while being deeply suited to the challenges of the modern world.

With her background in botany and clinical herbal medicine, Gemma has a deep appreciation for the healing intelligence of plants and the ecosystems in which they grow. She is passionate about helping individuals cultivate health through a deeper connection to nature, their bodies, and the traditional medicines that have supported human health across generations. Her goal is to help preserve and advance herbal medicine as a meaningful part of modern healthcare while continuing to build thoughtful, accessible herbal medicine care in Minnesota.

Gemma’s clinical interests also reflect her own connection to an active Minnesota lifestyle. Born and raised in Minnesota, she enjoys snowboarding, trail running, hiking, longboarding, gardening, cooking, and attending live music events. She also has an interest in emergency medicine, bringing a broad perspective on health and the different ways people can be supported throughout their healthcare journey.
