As temperatures rise in the Twin Cities, there is a palpable sense of positive energy and momentum throughout Selby Acupuncture. Increased sunshine and growth mindset are reflected throughout the clinic, with more patients, new faces, and exciting projects underway.
A Season of Growth: Record Patient Volume
We are grateful to share that Selby is growing and helping more people. We are seeing record numbers of new patients, so appointment availability is becoming more limited. And we are excited to bring on another amazing provider to meet the increased demand.
Welcome, Lucy Kervin!
We are excited to announce the addition of Lucy Kervin, L.Ac. to the Selby Acupuncture family starting May 11.
Lucy has deep roots in the Twin Cities area and comes to us from Allina Health and Hennepin Healthcare. She loves working with patients of all ages and specializes in treating acute and chronic pain, as well as whatever else walks through the door. You can read more about Lucy in her Bio here

Strengthening Our Vision
Late last month, our provider team traveled to Florida for a dedicated strategy and clinical excellence offsite. This time together allowed us to step back from daily operations and focus on:
- Enhancing the patient experience
- Deepening our clinical approach to Chinese medicine, with a guest lecture on oncology from professor Dr. Amy Sear
- Selecting a few exciting ideas to further improve the quality of your care

Innovation Tournament update
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Innovation Tournament. We received 213 (!) ideas, and we read through every single submission.
We will not be able to do everything, but we have already made several positive changes. New dimmer lights in treatment rooms, new front doorbell system, sound-proofing, and new phones have all been manifested because of your suggestions.
We also identified a handful of bigger ideas that we prioritized as initiatives to pursue in the coming months. These bigger initiatives include:
- New package offerings with higher % discounts
- Enhanced herbal expertise
- Community give-back programs
- Joining one or more new insurance networks (potentially)
This growth marks an exciting chapter for Selby Acupuncture in Spring 2026, as we continue to build a stronger, more connected clinic.
