Christine Grisham is a licensed acupuncturist by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, and is board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a graduate of the Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, the Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and Massage Therapy programs at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, California. During her time at PCOM, she interned at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, the Owen Clinic at the University of California San Diego, an outpatient facility providing comprehensive services for patients with HIV/AIDS, and the Alternative Healing Network’s free Integrative Health Nights for low-income families.
Like many in the healing professions, Christine became interested in training in alternative health after being a patient and experiencing firsthand how powerful medical systems like Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be for treating complex illnesses. During her last year of school, in 2011, Christine was diagnosed with a thyroid autoimmune disease. By combining TCM treatments with functional medicine, she has successfully turned her health around, and now strives to help others who struggle to navigate the challenges of chronic illnesses. Her specialties are mental health, chronic and autoimmune diseases, addiction, pain management, and end-of-life care.
“My goal with every individual is to create a healing space that is tailored to each person’s unique and specific needs, while providing treatment in a safe, nonjudgmental, and relaxing setting.”
