Zuobiao (Roy) Yuan, L.Ac, has practiced acupuncture and Chinese Medicine since 1993, obtaining a bachelor’s degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangxi Province, China, and then his doctorate from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2000. He participated in research at the University of Minnesota on the use of Chinese herbs in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. He is also a current faculty member at American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, teaching both the master and doctor program, for reproductive diseases and oncology.
His expertise lies in cancer care, musculoskeletal disorders, mental disorders, infertility, and digestive disorders. His other specialties also include heart failure, arrhythmia, diabetes, renal failure and skin diseases.
When Roy is not in clinic, he likes watching movies, listening to Chinese folk music, playing with his two children, running, and playing ping pong, badminton, and basketball.
