2026: Year of the Fire Horse
We are one month into the new Lunar Year. And in the spirit of the Fire Horse – a powerful symbol of energy, action, and growth – Selby Acupuncture is taking on several ambitious projects to help us grow.
Improving Access and Awareness
Julie recently spoke at the Mississippi Market Selby store about kitchen medicine for colds and coughs using warming teas, soothing soups, and other TCM-inspired remedies. Check out these photos of the event.
So many people who could benefit from herbal remedies and acupuncture in the Twin Cities simply don’t know how much they can help. And we are ramping up outreach to help more people.
Strengthening Our Team and Expertise
We are investing in the future of Selby:
- We have opened a search for an additional licensed acupuncturist to expand appointment availability.
- We are assembling an advisory board of experienced healthcare and wellness leaders to guide our long-term growth.
- We are collaborating with a team of Wharton MBA students on a Field Application Project exploring new ways to improve access, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
- And we plan to close the clinic April 9-11 so that our providers can meet offsite for a strategy retreat focused on clinical excellence and professional development.
All of these efforts are aimed at one goal: delivering even better care to you.
Finally: An Innovation Tournament!
To find the best ideas that will improve patient experience, clinical outcomes, and day-to-day operations, we kicked off an Innovation Tournament with our team.
We have received 200+ thoughtful submissions – from small practical improvements to big visionary ideas. And we are acting on them. For example: we have new dimmer lights in treatment rooms and are adding sound-proofing. And we are exploring other improvements as well.
We would love to hear from you as well.
