August Clinic News

It’s that time of year again…..Road Construction!

It seems like everything is torn up including our Selby Ave. Please follow the signs as things may change up a bit and allow a few extra minutes to get to your appointment. Better yet, allow time to get here early to relax and de-stress with a cup of tea!

The work being done near our parking lot entrance is creating the infrastructure for the new Metro Transit B Line limited stop bus route and from what we understand that work in our area should be wrapping up in the next couple weeks. Click the link for more information.

Curious about 5 Element Theory?

We hope you are enjoining Julie’s multi-part series explaining the principles of the TCM 5 Element theory! We are often asked about this since it is one of the guiding principles of Chinese Medicine. Every month Julie will continue to write a high-level explanation of each of the elements and if there is enough interest she may conduct some classes in the future to do a deeper dive into this fascinating subject. This month she is discussing the Fire Element. Read More

July Clinic News: Expanded availability and wait…is that another Lauren?

Join us in welcoming Lauren Patridge!

“Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a framework for seeing the world: your symptoms that seem totally unrelated are actually an interlinked constellation that provide meaning and a way forward. Using the body’s messages as a guide, we can find the way towards health.”

We are excited to announce Dr. Lauren Patridge will be joining our Selby Acupuncture team beginning July 8th.

Dr. Lauren Patridge is licensed in Acupuncture by the State of Minnesota Medical Board, and board certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Lauren earned both her Master’s in Acupuncture and Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University.

Some of the conditions she has a special interest in treating include: autoimmune conditions, painful periods, sleep and complex pain disorders. She loves working with people who are at a point of transition in their lives, whether they are sick of burnout and looking for relief, trying to start a family, or improving their physical health for their next great adventure. She believes that just because your symptoms may be common, it doesn’t mean they have to become your normal.

Lauren Patridge will be in clinic weekly

Summer is Here!

Did you know that we leave the clinic?

We like to get out of our office every once and awhile, providing onsite acupuncture treatments at local businesses.  This spring we have been out and already, and have plans for more fun events in the summer months! Stay tuned for more opportunities (yoga + acupuncture sounds pretty amazing, right?!).  Are you are interested in having us come to your workplace or event? We can do everything from giving lunch and learns, to onsite acupuncture ‘happy hour’ treatments.  It is a fun way to feel better, relieve stress, connect and have fun.   For more information, reach out to bruce@selbyacupuncture.com.

Music heals.  Find us to the Grand Oak Opry this summer!

Once again, we are a proud sponsor of the Grand Oak Opry concert series that takes place outside at a private residence in St. Paul under a 200+ year old oak tree.

  • The concerts are in the beautiful backyard of Sean Kershaw and Tim Hawkins, at 273 Goodhue Street in St. Paul.
  • ANYONE is welcome. You don’t have to know us, the neighborhood, or anyone else. We hope everyone feels welcomed and able to enjoy the great music.
