Position Description
Front Desk
- Greet patients upon their arrival and create a welcoming environment
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Manage patient check-out process
- Call insurance companies to verify patient coverage
- Use clinic management software
- Fill herbal prescriptions as needed
- Reset treatment rooms after patient visits
- Assist with inventory management
- Maintain clean and orderly clinic
- Calculate daily totals
Marketing
- Contribute ideas for Facebook posts
- Write a blog for company website 2 or 3 times a year
- Nurture client connections via notecards and e-mail communications
Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience
- Previous medical reception/medical office experience required
- Working knowledge of Mac, Pages, Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of medical insurance processes (HealthPartners/BCBS/Medica etc)
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential sensitive information
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to confidently and effectively balance multiple projects and complete commitments according to deadlines
- Perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures
- Be able to foresee potential problems and proactively work to find solutions
20 hours/week (weeknight & Saturday shifts)
