Welcome Liz, Shiatsu Happy Hour & Saying Farewell

The summer heat has yet to slow us down! This has been one of the busiest summers in memory and we have loved hearing about your adventures as well. Here are a few fun things we have been up to so far.

Welcome, Liz!

We are happy to finally introduce you to Liz, the newest member of our Selby Acupuncture family! It has been fun working with her over these past few weeks and I really encourage you to get to know her as well. Here’s a little background about Liz, in her own words:

I have been at Selby Acupuncture for a little more than a month now, and I am delighted to be a part of such a warm and nourishing community!

I am originally from Maine, and my most recent work experience is in book publishing. I freelanced until 2006, when I moved to Western Massachusetts to take a job at Storey Publishing, a great publisher of how-to books for sustainable living. Although books are still my great love, I decided I needed a change of venue. I chose Minnesota as my next home, where I am revisiting longtime interests in holistic health.

When not at work, I am often reading, watching movies, visiting museums, or hanging out wherever Hoop Twin Cities has set up camp. I look forward to seeing you at the clinic!

Shiatsu Happy Hour

Are you intrigued by shiatsu massage and wondering if it’s right for you? Lori will be providing mini-treatments at our upcoming Shiatsu Happy Hour on Thursday, August 14th from 5pm-7pm. You can experience a 20-minute massage for only $10, although trust me, you’ll wish it was longer!

Spots are guaranteed to fill up ahead of time, so book your treatment either in person or by calling us at 651-224-6678.

Can’t make the event? You can always book a regular treatment with Lori over the phone or online.

Dr. Lu Visits Our Clinic

We were excited to be visited recently by Dr. Lu, professor at AAAOM (American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and former teacher to Julie, Sara, Sara Beth and Kennedy. Dr. Lu accepted a position at OCOM (Oregon College of Oriental Medicine) and is moving to Portland, so it was nice having an opportunity to say farewell in person. He will be greatly missed by our local acupuncture community and we all wish him the best as he embarks upon this new chapter!

Lastly, the ladies are taking a little time off here and there over the summer so we encourage you to book your appointments in advance. It would be a shame if you could not book your preferred day or time! You can schedule in person, over the phone at 651-224-6678 or online.

We hope you all are having a fun and safe summer!
