We’re Here to Help

Spring is here in full force.  Leaves are popping, spring flowers are blooming, and warmth and life has returned to our part of the world.   We are here to help with whatever ails you so you can get out and enjoy all that springtime has to offer!  Here are a few resources and suggestions to guide you on your way.

  • Lunchtime talks: We had a great time sharing our lunchtime talk on Food As Medicine. Thanks to everyone who joined us! Watch for continued information on our Lunchtime Educational series. Periodically one of our specialists will host a 30-minute educational, noontime talk. Future talks will be posted under online classes on our website.
    • Our next talk will be May 6th at 12:00: The topic will be Understanding Your Period: Learn what Chinese Medicine has to say about your menstrual cycles
What does the color of your menstrual blood tell you? Why do some women have more PMS symptoms than others? Join us to learn how to understand your period from a Chinese medicine perspective. Register Here
    • Do you wonder what those Five Elements really are all about?  Curious to know what about how Herbal medicine works?  Have a burning desire to learn more about something your acupuncturist talked about during your visit?  Reach out, let us know, and we can make sure to include the topic in our series!

  • Insight Meditation with Molly: Join Molly Kubinski for 30 minutes every Tuesday at 6:00 PM as she guides you through Anapana Insight Meditation. You’ll learn how to alleviate stress and anxiety while developing mental clarity through intentional breath work. Register Here
  • Spring is a busy time!  Our schedules tend to get a bit busier this time of year.  We want to  make sure you are able to get an appointment that works best for your schedule, so be sure to book a few weeks ahead so you can get a time that works best for you.
  • Did you know we have a cancellation list?  We often have last minute openings, especially when things get busier.  Have you had trouble finding an appointment time that works for you?  Give us a call and let us know you would like to be added to our cancellation list.  When an appointment opens up, we will reach out, see if it works for you and get you scheduled.
  • Spring can also bring some common ailments and we want to help!

    • Springtime allergies:  Along with the beautiful flowers and the return of the robins, springtime allergies have started to show up.  Talk to your practitioner about allergy relief.  There are some great herbal medicine options to help mitigate allergy symptoms.  Chinese medicine offers allergy sufferers a way to strengthen their bodies and reduce their symptoms, without unpleasant side effects.
    • Springtime stress: Whether its taxes, graduation, the time change or anxiety over what needs to be done we can all get a little overwhelmed and stressed, and it can tend to get a little worse this time of year.  Chinese medicine offers great options to help.  Talk to your practitioner about what they can do for you.

Thanks for choosing Selby Acupuncture to help you achieve your healthcare goals, we appreciate and honor your trust and partnership.  Have a great spring everyone!
